Don’t you just hate when something wakes you up out of a sound sleep?  You know, like a loud noise….your dog or your kids jumping on you….or maybe when YOU ACCIDENTALLY SHOOT YOURSELF.

That’s what happened to a West Seneca man the other night.

Police say he was sleeping in his recliner with his gun in his lap (and can’t we all relate to that?) when somehow the gun went off.  Perhaps he was dreaming of deer season.

At any rate, he literally woke up with a bang, to discover he had shot himself in the hand and leg.  He called the police, and was taken to Erie County Medical Center where he was treated and released

Police haven't released his name...probably because they felt sorry for him....do you think his friends are ever going to let him live this one down?

But look at the bright side….yes, this was really, really stupid.  But at least the gun wasn’t in his crotch.
