If you’re a good friend, you do nice things for your friends who are down on their luck.  Like visit them in jail.  And bring them things.  A book is nice…or some magazines….or a deck of cards.

But you really shouldn’t bring them drugs….or else you could end up being the one who needs visiting behind bars.

Take the Brant woman who was visiting an inmate at the Erie County Correctional Facility in Alden.  The sheriff’s office says she tried to slip him a balloon filled with crushed Loritab pills.  (I know being in jail can be a painful experience….but deal with it)

The inmate is being held on bail after being arrested for allegedly shooting another guy in the leg during an argument.

Now he faces two more charges….he and the woman face a felony possession charge and a misdemeanor charge of promoting prison contraband.

Maybe they can visit with each other when they’re in court.
